Sedona Elopement Photographer: Love on the Red Rocks

Sedona is one of the most unique places in the Southwest to marry and take pictures! Chicago residents, Jay and Khushbu, wanted their wedding day to be unique as possible. They decided to make the journey to the red rocks of Sedona, after celebrating nearby in Las Vegas all week leading up to their Christmas Eve wedding day.

Being a Sedona/Northern Arizona local I was able to share insights, locations, and planning advice that only living here can make the best plan a reality. Merry Go Round was their initial request, but having to rent Jeeps for their guests and taking extra time out of their coverage to drive wasn’t how they wanted to spend their time, which every couple has to make that decision for themselves and their comfort level.

So we used the ideal sunset time to it’s fullest – Atop the red rock plateaus of their chosen location of Bell Rock, they read their personal vows with their closest college friends as their guests and witnesses. Their fun ideas for group poses with their friends was the best time; making everyone laugh as they cracked jokes and filmed choreographed videos dancing in between shots. They were such a FUN and energized group!

These gorgeous photos will serve as a memory for their future marriage to always look back on this special wedding day, and remember the fun and excitement we had. I’m grateful our paths crossed and everything worked out smoothly. Although it was a cloudy day we made the best of it, and honestly Sedona is magnificent in any lighting or season.
